Hollywood actor Daniel Craig took an initiative to embrace Angelo A Toriello Humanicy campaign

It was another successful initiative for Humanicy which was recently launched at UN in occasion of the Intentional Day of Happiness, where more than seven hundred people gathered together to celebrate the day, and which it could not pass unobserved.

Among those, popular Hollywood superstar Daniel Craig graced the initiative joining hands with Angelo A Toriello (the ambassador to the Permanent Mission of Sao Tome and Principle to the United Nations) to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people worldwide. The actor (popularly known as 007 James Bond) has always been at the forefront of noble causes and has always contributed to the society in his own way. In fact, he was named by the Secretary General as UN Global Advocate for the Elimination of Mines and Explosive Hazards.

The focus of the gathering was on honoring healthy people and a healthy planet as fundamental to happiness, goals intertwined with the UN’s sustainable development goals adopted by the UN General Assembly last year. For the occasion, India was well represented by guest of honors like Mr. D.R. Kaarthikeyan (former CBI director and H.E. Mr. Tanmaya Lal (Ambassador - DPR of the Indian Mission to the UN). Ms Shweta E Inderyas, the executive assistant and general coordinator to Ambassador Toriello’ correspondent office in India, opened the event conveying a congratulatory message for the day by the Secretery-General. It is believed that the Ambassador might be visiting India soon to announce a film with Bollywood director Tigmanshu Dhulia based on a social subject. Humanicy is a term coined by the diplomat-social activist Angelo Antonio Toriello who has come up with another social initiative, 'Humanicy in association with HIV Aids’, to create awareness among people thereby providing them several medical facilities and treatment free of cost. Joining Angelo in his noble initiative and giving him helping hand are celebrities from all walks of life, including entertainment, politics and education.
