Missing Chittoor student found dead at Newport beach

A 23-year-old Cal State Fullerton student who had been missing for a week was found dead in Newport Beach, the Orange County coroner’s office said Wednesday. According to reports, his body was found floating about 1,000 feet offshore. Praveen Galla belonged to Chittoor district and his father Nageswara Rao lives in Tirupati.

Praveen Galla disappeared on February 1 and his friends say that Galla has been depressed for some time. He took a cab from Fullerton to California State University and later went to Newport Beach. His body has been sent for post-mortem and the police are waiting for reports to ascertain the cause of his death.
