After legendary actors MGR and Sivaji, another Tamil superstar is all set for a political stint. Reigning star Rajnikanth in all likelihood will launch a political party in October and is preparing for the same for the last few days.

The actor who disclosed his political plans in his meeting with fans has already created flutter in political circles across Tamil Naidu. He is now consulting astrologers to fix the appropriate time and date.

According to sources in Chennai, the 67-year-old has no plans to tie up with national parties like the BJP and wants to chalk out his own course to the seat of power in Tamil Nadu. The ‘Kabali’ star has more than 8,000 to 10,000 fan clubs and almost equal number of unregistered clubs. He is banking on their support and lakhs of well-wishers to fulfil his ambitious political dreams.

“The actor has been in constant touch with thousands of his fans and holding discussions on kind of issues to be highlighted in the initial announcement,’ says the sources.

On the other hand, the actor is also reportedly holding consultations with upright and retired IAS official Sahayam and veteran journalist Nakkeeran Gopal and a few apolitical leaders about the name of the party, colour of the party flag and manifesto of the party and to launch the party in a grand gala manner to take on mighty opponent DMK and ruling AIADMK.

“He wanted to start the party early, but a few astrologers who thoroughly went through his birth chart have suggested him to launch sometime in October, since it’s perfect muhurat for his political entry,” say the sources. Rajnikath intends to provide corruption-free and transparent administration, add the sources.

Meanwhile, the actor is also doing photo shoots for his upcoming film ‘Kaali Karikaalan’ and pinning hopes on his other big-ticket film ‘Robot 2.O’.
