New Delhi: Chief Ministers of the two Telugu States, K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu attended the nomination filing event of the NDA’s Presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind here on Friday.

Both the Chief Ministers greeted the nominee and congratulated him before filing the nomination. Chandrasekhar Rao followed Ramnath into the Lok Sabha Secretary General’s office along with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and veteran BJP leader L K Advani. Chandrababu Naidu followed a bit later along with the Chief Minister’s of other States.

Naidu who seconded the nomination of Ramnath Kovind, here on Friday termed the contender as a man of high integrity and honesty. “His election should have been unanimous instead of a fight. Our party extends all cooperation to him,” he added. Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the contest was nominal and notional. “Kovindji would comfortably win. But it would have been better had it been unanimous,” Venkaiah Naidu added.
