Sirsa: In a shocking recovery, Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s own plastic currency has been found in Dera Sacha Sauda’s Headquarters in Sirsa. The pictures posted by the news agency show Rs 10 and Re 1 plastic coins with “Dera Sacha Sauda” marked on them.

Earlier, ‘Sach Kahoon’, the mouthpiece of Dera Sacha Sauda, admitted that skeletons were buried in the premises, says a report. Apart from these, a large amount of cash, including banned currency, hard discs and computers were seized during the raid.

The Dera newspaper, while defending the action of the Dera management in burying the human remains, said this was done as sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh encouraged followers to donate the remains to the sect for burial and prevent these from being immersed in rivers, causing pollution. The newspaper claimed that the human remains were buried within the campus and trees were planted on these.

The authorities have also sealed two rooms in the Dera ashram after the massive raids conducted with 41 Paramilitary companies, 4 Army columns, police of 4 districts, one SWAT team, one dog squad and a bomb squad.

About 50 videographers and more than a dozen locksmiths were also taken with the raiding team. Ram Rahim’s headquarters in Sirsa is spread over two campuses, with one 600 acres, and the other over 100 acres.

Media reports say that keeping in mind all the luxuries of the chief and his visitors, a stadium, a hospital, educational institutions, luxury resort, bungalows, and markets are also built inside the Dera ashram. Ram Rahim used to stay inside a pink building Gufa (cave), a secret place, where no one was allowed. The Gufa itself is spread over in an area of nearly 100 acres. The security forces have also searched the cave.

Mobile Internet services have been suspended in Sirsa district to prevent any disturbance of public order and to curb spread of rumours in view of the "sanitisation" exercise being carried out at the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters.
