BENGALURU: On Thursday night in Yeshwanthpur a 21-year-old who objected to three youths who were harassing his women friends, was murdered by the trio.
The attackers were arrested. Chittibabu alias Dorai, 20, Praveen G, 19, and Kishore M, 20, all lathe workers at Shanmukha Industries in Mathikere, were arrested.
The incident took place around midnight when the victim, Jagdeep Singh from Uttarakhand, along with his friend Suhas, 22, from Udupi and two women friends, were on their way to a hotel for dinner.
They were stopped by the trio, who started commenting vulgarly on the two women. An argument broke out and, in the chaos of scuffle, one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed Singh in the throat. They also hit Suhas on the head with a beer bottle before fleeing.
