NIT-W has signed the MoU with Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education, South Ural State University (SUSU), (National Research University), Chelyabinsk, Russia.

Hanamkonda: With an objective of academic and research collaboration, the National Institute of Technology, Warangal has entered into an MoU with a Russian university, here on Friday.

NIT-W has signed the MoU with Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education, South Ural State University (SUSU), (National Research University), Chelyabinsk, Russia.

It may be noted that the SUSU, a federal state-funded university, is ranked as one of the top 10 among 96 Russian universities, according to the rating compiled by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The MoU is signed by the NIT-W In-charge Director Prof GRC Reddy and Prof Irina Potoroko of South Ural State University in the presence of NIT-W Registrar Prof YN Reddy and its Dean (International Relations and Alumni Affairs) Prof CSRK Prasad at the NIT-W.

According to the NIT-W authorities, the MoU is aimed at ensuring development of educational cooperation as the base in training professional personnel for international relations of both countries with mutual priorities in education and scientific research. As part of the memorandum, both the institutes have agreed to assist a bilateral exchange of students, masters, graduates and teaching professors, assist the scientific cooperation expansion and mutual scientific projects in the areas of mutual interest.

Besides that, arrangement of training towards improving scientific skills of professors, postgraduates, graduates and masters, exchange of experience on the development of advanced methods of education and organising international symposiums, workshops and conferences would take place. The use of distance technologies, organising and holding joint cultural events and joint educational and scientific projects has also been the party of the understanding. The duration of the MoU is five years and extendable for another five years.
