The unanimous selection of Yogi Adityanath as Chief Minister of UP has indeed come as rubbing salt over the wound to many political parties as they have already suffered the much needed poll defeat in the recent UP election.

On interaction with many apolitical people belong to different religions like Hindus, Muslims and Christians we learned that according to people our India is moving forward from pseudo secular politics to secular, nationalist politics with its primary focus primarily on Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas under our present Prime Minister - Modiji.

Over the past two decade, several political parties in India both at regional and national level have personified itself as ‘messiah’ and the ‘ultimate defender’ of secularism and minority community. The primary goal and aim of all those so called secular parties were to oppose BJP and brand BJP as communal force. Those political parties could sell their idea of pseudo-secularism for a while but thanks to the growing awareness of people across all social strata, the true intent of all those so called secular parties and the self designated saviors of minority communities in India got thoroughly exposed and the people have started to ask the very fundamental question of are the minorities is India under great threat?

India from the prehistoric times till date is a Hindu country, i.e., the country represented predominantly by Hindu ethos, culture, belief system and religious practices. Hindus were and are very tolerant, accommodative and poise people at large. India is secular because India is a Hindu country. Such India was invaded by imperial rulers, Mughal rulers etc., and ruled different parts of India. Further they also spread their religion. The tolerant secular Hindus accommodated all those religions and lived in amity and peace. This is not history but fact.

During independence, the politics of division and divisiveness, the British rulers invented may be to disintegrate India. As a result partition of Pakistan happened. Pakistan chose to become an Islamic country while the founding fathers of India during independence period, predominantly the Hindus and worshipers of Lord Ram, like Patel, Gandhi, Nehru etc., invoked the sacredness of secular, tolerant Hinduism and re-phrased the cultural identity of the country as secular nation. The essence of such secularism was indeed respecting all religions without any discrimination. However the larger landscape of Indian’s ethos, value system and the cultural identity remain Hindu. Such cultural identity has never posed any threat to minorities or the religious majority has never ever taken any advantage due to their geographical and arithmetic dominance over any minority community until some political parties started to play the game of minority appeasement.

Even during pre-historic times, India had witnessed several sporadic incidences of fights among different casts within Hindu, a few unfortunate fights between different religions etc. None of those fights have had taken place with the intent or purpose to break the secular credentials of India. All such fights have had taken place purely due to several local reasons.

The term ‘threat to secularism’ or ‘communal’ is in fact is an imported terminology by some political party and it was never made in India. It is true that some political parties could not even get a leader from India to lead the party. Many political parties have been using lavishly the term secularism for own political advantage than for minorities.

The importance of respecting the values and virtues of our cultural and ethnic identity can be seen even in our national anthem. Similarly re-iterating and re-establishing the ethos of tolerant, secular Hindus in not wrong. Such move cannot be described as communal. The true credence of secularism can be seen among Hindus not because the law warrants them to be so but it is engraved in the very values and culture of Hindu philosophy. That is why with such absolute majority, still Hindus are very tolerant and secular. But on the contrary, many single religion dominant countries have chosen to be Christian, Islamic or Buddhist countries.

Large proportion of people in India see the raise of BJP not as threat to our nation or secular credence but as threat to the so called pseudo secular parties as they make their livelihood simply by selling fear among minority communities. Thanks to the support of the so called religious leaders of several such minority communities, the defenders of secularism could do their business for sometime. All those religious leaders have started to loose their grip over the religion because people are changing from religion based identity to humanism based identity. When people get educated, they wants to re-phrase their identity more as doctor, engineer, MBA graduate rather than Hindu, Christian, Islam etc.

Modiji changed the rule of Indian politics by speaking plain and frank to people of this country than making any underground deal with the religious leaders of any minority community to engage in scare mongery. Today several minority communities are asking what real improvement they have achieved due to the tireless struggle of all those self designated defenders of minority community and messiah of secularism.

On the contrary, all those so called saviors and defenders of minority and secularism have been growing, from father to son, the mantle of CM post got transferred, the family parriwar is holding the party and it has been growing in all fronts but ironically the status of minorities remain unchanged!

Are they true secularist and saviors of minority community or are continuously playing and winning the game in the name of minority politics? It is not the so called majority community has defeated them but the intelligent, wise minority community in UP has defeated them.

The question is how long this politics would go? Modiji has brought development plank into the poll agenda for the first time. He has ensured greater transparency in governance, reduced corruption, caused diarrhea and dysentery to all the black money holders and compelled all those so called saviors of secularism to introspect and speak to own inner voice whether they are harming or building New India?

When the sage Vishwamitra entered Ayodhya, he had several missions and purposes to complete. Sage Vishwamitra showed the bow and arrow kept at Mithila to the very young Rama. The bow and arrow appears huge and heavy for any average person even to lift let alone it could be broken. But the young Rama broke the bow and then married Sita and certainly also destroyed several demons like Tataka, Maricha, Ravana and also given moksha to Sabari, Akaliga etc.

Modiji acted the role of sage Vishvamitra by taking Yogi Adithanth to UP to break the so called unholy-bow of dynastic alliance however difficult it was appeared to break.

Yogi Adithynath, like Rama broke the bow easily because the bow was largely used to shoot nothing but the arrows of fear among minorities, appeasement, re-establishment of dynasty and family rule, goonda-ism, corruption, fooling people etc. Naturally the Yogi too got the Sita, i.e. the throne of UP CM. Like how Rama had faced several demons in his life, Yogi too has lot of demons to destroy in UP like lawlessness, corruption etc.

If Yogi does well, he could become another Modi as age is to his side.
