Vibhishana and Bali fought against own brothers but they did not allow the rule of the arch rival – still you have time to think TTV

The threat served by the legislatures of TTV to AIADMK government headed by EPS and OPS is very unfortunate. It looks like the ploy is a mere parade of might and proving the supremacy of ego and nothing else. When the family claims their legacy to be with Amma for nearly 4 decades and stood with her both during the times of celebration and tribulation and have mentored the party, shaped its philosophy etc., naturally one may wonder how such family could think of the downfall of AIADMK government. If they have ever played the role of parent or guardian or caretaker in true sense, can they afford to destroy their fort which has given them unlimited wealth, enormous power, influence etc. Can any parent destroy or kill their children because they disobeyed them? If so can we trust such people as true parent?

None of the family members of Sasi had contested last election. Perhaps they would have pulled the string from behind the curtain. It was Amma who faced people, won their trust and achieved victory. In her absence the family if wish to play the role of amma from the perspective of guiding the party in a limited way is fine but can they assume that the world should accept them as the embodiment of Amma and must follow the family exactly the way they have been following Amma? Already the family is not well received either by the party or by people of Tamil Nadu. It would have been appropriate for the family to build trust with people, re-kindle the morale of the cadres and invoke the purpose of AIADMK to fight DMK. But today the effort of Sasi family, especially TTV has ridiculed their respect among people.

All those legislatures had contested the last election and have won. Therefore they have great responsibility to serve the people of the state than serving the family. Due to the continuous war from within, many legislatures could not serve the people the way they aspire.

In Ramayana although Vibhishana joins hand with Rama to fight his brother, at the end Vibishana only became the king. When Sugriva offered his help to Rama to kill his brother Bali, at the end, Sugriva only became the king. But ironically the war waged by Sasi family would help only the arch rival of AIADMK to become the king and none of the warring factions would benefit.

This Mahabharat war in AIADMK is more for money and power and less for dharma and therefore this war might wipeout the party. Therefore the family must introspect and must do meditation to question their action whether it is appropriate for them to pull down AIADMK Government and favor the arch rival of the party to make easy win.

Amma’s image got tarnished and she even lost election in the after math the grandsire marriage of her adopted son way back in 1980’s. She lost election due to the taint of a family. Now the same taint is going to destroy the party totally.

Fights within the party are good and healthy but it should be meant to strengthen the party and not aimed to weaken the party or destroy its poll prospects.

If the legislatures of AIADMK unite as one family of AIADMK exactly like how the other family is united and forceful in their unification, it is good for the party, for the state and for all legislatures to be relevant in Tamil Nadu politics.
