Nizamabad: Noted psychiatrist and Anti-Corruption Forum convener Dr Keshavulu lashed out at the top officials of the Railway Ministry for their indifference and negligence towards completing the railway line works between Peddapalli-Nizamabad junctions though they started the works 30 years ago.

Participating in a round-table conference on the conditions of the railway lines in the town on Monday, Dr Keshavulu lamented that no other railway line in the country was neglected like this. Morethan 30,000 passengers travel by train in Nizamabad on a daily basis, he added.

Dr Keshavaulu said that thousands of devotees of Lord Ayyappa travel to Sabarimalai from Nizamabad but they do not have railway facility from here but the number of link trains has not been increased, he lamented.

Speaking on the occasion, district CPI (M) leader Taherbin said that they should lauch an agitation if the works remain incomplete even by March 2017. He said that it was unfortunate that Nizamabad district was highly neglected in the laying new railway tracks and even budgetary allocations in the Railway budget were not done properly.
