Cheques for Kalayana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak distributed
Khanapur MLA Rekha Naik has handed over cheques to 25 beneficiaries of Kalayana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak Schemes from Kadem and Dasturabad mandals.

Participating at a programme held at MPDO office here, she distributed a cheque of Rs 51,000 to each of the beneficiaries. Later, she performed bhoomi-pooja for panchayat office to be constructed at Khanapur at a cost of Rs 13, 00,000, which has been sanctioned by NREGS.
Speaking on the occasion, she lauded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s efforts in implementing several welfare schemes. She said that KCR was implementing the assurances which were not even included in the election manifesto. She attributed the delay in crediting amount into the accounts of beneficiaries due to demonetisation.
In future, the amount would be delivered at the door step of the beneficiaries on the day of marriage. She said that after the formation of new districts, administration has been simplified and people were not facing too many hardships. She appreciated the District Collector for his style of functioning.
The MLA assured that the government will extend its support to the poor Muslims. She said that pattas would be distributed among the dalit families for the lands given earlier. The pattas will be distributed on the occasion of Sankratri.
Mandal Parishad president B Ammi, vice president P Santhosh Reddy, Tahsildar Narasaiah, TRS mandal president N Jeevan Reddy, MPTCs, Sarpanchs and many others participated in the programme.
