Nizamabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Mahesh Kumar Goud has lamented that demonestisation of high-value currency by the Center was causing inconvenience to the poor.
Addressing the media at the District Congress Committee office here on Monday, he pointed out that millions of people in the country are illiterates and many of them did not have ATM cards. They did not know how to use the ATMs, he added.
Further, he said that petrol bunk operators were not entertaining cashless payments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the demonetisation and Rs 2000 notes only to benefit the rich, he added.
