They demanded the reduction in the prices of medicines and abolition of the additional tax on them.

They demanded the reduction in the prices of medicines and abolition of the additional tax on them.

Speaking to the media, Telangana Sales and Medical Representatives Union president Srinivas said online booking of medicines and the government should take steps to meet their long pending demands. He said that excise tax and GST tax should not be imposed on the medicines.

Srinivas said that the pharmaceutical companies and vaccination units in the public sector organizations should be revived and a code of ethics should be introduced and guidelines that were fixed for medical shops should be followed strictly.

Several medical representatives and owners of medical shops were present on the occasion.
