Nizamabad: District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana urged the employees to take part in sports for leading a happy and healthy life.

Inaugurating the sports meeting of the Telangana NGOs in the town on Friday, she said that sports were important for the physical and mental well-being of an individual and as such they should participate in various games like cricket, kho-kho, carroms and kabaddi.

Collector Rana advised the employees to work with greater vigor for the development of the district, especially after the formation of the Telangana State.

She appealed to them to extend their cooperation in her endeavours to deve4lop the Nizamabad district in a comprehensive manner.

She said that if she was transferred to another district, she should go with full satisfaction and contentment that she did not leave any task incomplete. All the important tasks should be completed before the completion of her term, she added.

Speaking on the occasion, State TNGOs president Devi Prasad heaped praises on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for introducing several innovative social welfare and development schemes in the Telanana State which was formed after several decades of struggle and sacrifices.
