Nizamabad: The 63th birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was celebrated with great fanfare in the town on Friday by the district TRS party. An all-religious prayer meeting was held at the party office.

NIzamabad Mayor Akula Sujatha and district TRS president E Ganga Reddy participated. Blood donation camps were held in the Nizamabad government hospital and ata blood bank.

Fruits were distributed to the patients by the Telangana Jagruthi. Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that Telangana State became a reality only due to the struggles launched by K Chandrashekar Rao.

In another related event, the birthday of KCR was celebrated on a grand scale at the school for the deaf and the dumb in the town on Friday under the aegis of the Kalvakuntla Seva Dal.

Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan, who was the chief guest on the occasion, cut the cake and distributed it along with some fruits to the students. Later, free food was also distributed. He wished a happy and prosperous life to the Chief Minister.

District TRS president Shyam Kumar, TRS vice-president Gaddam Sudarshan and a large number of TRS workers were present on the occasion.
