Nizamabad: District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana urged women to empower themselves and become financial independent without being dependent on anybody.
Addressing the gathering after flagging a rally in the city on Tuesday on the eve of International Women’s Day, she said that every mother should rear her children into ideal citizens of the future. Mothers should take good care of their children, she added.
The District Collector said that the Women Empowerment Run was being launched to instill confidence among the women and change their mindset. Toilets should be constructed in homes to enhance the dignity of women, she added.
City Mayor Akula Sujatha and MLC Akula Lalitha were present on the occasion.
