Nizamabad BJP leaders placed under house arrest
As a precautionary measure in view of the Chalo Assembly call given by the BJP on Friday in protest against the giving of 12 per cent reservations in jobs to the Muslims, the district BJP leaders have been placed under house arrest. In this connection, the state BJP executive committee member Dhanpal Surnayarayana Gupta has been placed under house arrest.
Nizamabad: As a precautionary measure in view of the Chalo Assembly call given by the BJP on Friday in protest against the giving of 12 per cent reservations in jobs to the Muslims, the district BJP leaders have been placed under house arrest. In this connection, the state BJP executive committee member Dhanpal Surnayarayana Gupta has been placed under house arrest.
The police have placed 50 to 100 BJP members under house arrest all over the district. Speaking to the media, Suryanarayana Gupta lashed out at the TRS government for its decision o give 12 per cent reservations to the minorities and warned that providing reservations in jobs on the basis of religion was highly dangerous.
He advised The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao not to indulge in vote bank politics to appease the minority communities. The BJP leader warned that thousands of BJP works would besiege the State Assembly and the Chief Minister’s house if he goes ahead with the move.
