Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP K Kavitha said that the issue relating to the fixing of support price or remunerative price for the farmers should be settled by the Central government as it does not come under the purview of the State government.
Speaking to the media in the city on Friday, she said that the BJP which promised remunerative price to the farmers during the 2014 general elections went back on it after coming to power.
The Nizamabad MP said that the farmers growing chillies and turmeric were suffering a lot and told them not to get disheartened. She demanded the Centre to declare support price to the farmers and come to their rescue.
