Nizamabad: International Federation of Trade Union (IFTU) leaders and workers participated in a demonstration in the city on Monday in protest against the anti-worker policies pursued by the Central and the State governments.
Later, speaking to the media the IFTU leaders alleged that the Centre and the States were not implementing the ‘equal pay for equal work ‘rule and were exploiting the workers to the hilt.
IFTU leader Vanamala Krishna said that it was unfortunate that there was no response from the governments though they made several representations in the past to meet the justifiable demands of the workers.
The government should meet the demands of the workers at least now to mitigate their sufferings, he added.
