Bangalore A grand celebration of Raksha Bandhan festival “ANTARMANA RAKSHA BANDHAN MAHOTSAV” was held today at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi, Bangalore in the presence of Antarmana Muni Shri Prasanna Sagarji Maharaj & Muni Shri Piyush Sagarji Maharaj. To make the occasion even more special, for the first time in history, the audience witnessed a mass celebration where more than 400 brothers & sisters tied knot of love and trust to each other at one place at the same time. Around 5000 people witnessed this historic moment. Lot of cultural program was also held highlighting the significance of this auspicious day.

Like any other festival, Raksha Bandhan has its unique significance. It is the celebration of the chaste bond of love amongst the siblings and fostering brotherhood. This festival signifies many aspects of our life. It represents the power of friendship over jealousy, politeness over ego, construction over destruction and importantly love over hate, said Muni Shri Prasanna Sagarji Maharaj.

Speaking during the event, Muni Shri Piyush Sagarji Maharaj said “We should respect and value each other, thrive on our diversity, leverage our strength in making a difference. It is an occasion for us to dedicate ourselves to the well-being of women and in particular, the girl child. Women should be provided a safe, secure and congenial environment in which their talents can flower and they can contribute their full share in the building of our nation. May this unique festival inculcate in every member of our society the highest respect for women, as we strive collectively for the prosperity of our people. It is also an occasion to re-commit ourselves to ensuring the safety and security of women”, he added.

The event was organized by Tyagi Seva Samiti Trust, Karnataka Jain Association, Sri Chakreshwari Mahila Samaj & Sakal Jain Samaj. All were cordially invited to be a part of this historic celebration.
