The minister participated as a chief guest in AP Social Welfare Residential School (APSWRS) students 25 hours nonstop cultural (dance) event (attempting a Guinness record) concluding ceremony on Sunday here.On this occasion Ananda Babu stated that SC, ST students with their determination, dedication and hard work broke a world record in nonstop dance programme.

Minister has appreciated all the 125 student dance troops who have participated in 25 hours dance marathon.
“Marking the occasion of Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary, state government has been conducting three major events in across the state.

The first programme Jadakolatam was held on April 6 at Vijayawada, second one was held in Tirupati on April 8-9 and third mega event Kuchipudi dance with 7000 students will be held at Vizag beach on April 11”, added the minister. Just two days ago with government training 13 Students from AP Social Welfare Residential Schools were sent to Everest trekking, he mentioned.

AP SC corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabakar Rao in his guest of honour speech said that the 25 hour nonstop dance event proves ability of the SC, ST girls and boys who are studying in Social Welfare Residential Schools. He praised the students of APSWRS for their hard work for attempt of this great record on occasion of Dr BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary.

APSWRS Secretary Col V Ramulu addressing the students mentioned that government is ready to encourage students with different skills, education and for raising of confidence levels. The government has taken up series of cultural events with Residential School boys and girls specially from SC, ST community.

Secretary congratulated the entire staff of 125 Schools across the state who organised this mega event successfully without single untoward incident and disturbance”.Tirupati MLA Sugunamma, Social Welfare department Joint Director Vijayakumar and Chittoor District TDP Minority Cell District Chairman Praveen Kumar, Staff and scores of students of APSWRS across the state were present.
