YMCA, NPA, SBC win
YMCA Hyderabad, National Police Academy Shivrampally Club and Sanathnagar Basketball Club (SBC) has easy wins in the Hyderabad District Club league basketball championship here on Tuesday.

YMCA beat Hyderabad Leaders 52-34.
YMCA started off with a flurry of shots from Melvin and Lalith Reddy before Hyderabad Leaders could get into their scoring. Melvin and Lalit got a good support from Asif Rasool who contributed from drive in shots and three 3 pointers, which led winner 29-16 at the half time.

The young Rising Stars players put up an inspired display over NPA Club before succumbing to a 62-75 defeat after drawing level at 20 in the first quarter and trailing 32-36 at half-time.

Sudershan and Prashanth were among the prominent scorers for the winner while Rahul top scored for Rising Stars with 38 points for the loser.

Sanathnagar Club and Sharp Shooters match was evenly contested with both teams making all out efforts to outdo their opponents.

The advantage of height came to the rescue of Sanathngar with Prudhvi doing a commendable job in defence while Nikhil, Naveed and Basanth tiring out the opposition with their speed and acumen.

Rose Khan, Santhosh, Narsingh and Habib tried their best both in offence and defence but the Sanathnagar hung on to the lead to emerge victors.

Rahul shines for ML Jaisimha XI
Buddhi Rahul’s fluent century helped ML Jaisimha XI to register an emphatic eight-wicket win over President XI on the second day of the Senior Zonal tournament for the Lala Harbans Rai trophy here on Tuesday.

Batting first, President XI was restricted to 252 runs. In reply, ML Jaisimha XI reached the target in 36 overs losing two wickets in the process. Rahul hit 101 runs in 89 balls with four sixes and 15 fours. He got good support of Benjamin Thomas (49no). In the other match, Abbas Ali Baig XI defeated Secunderabad XI by 57 runs. Chasing 244 runs, Secunderabad XI was bundled out for 187 runs in 60 overs. Md Siraj and S Praneeth Raj scalped four wickets each.
