Sevitha Viju dazzles in RR chess

Sevitha Viju, Swathi Mahadev, Akshara Kasula and G Vaishnavi will represent Hyderabad District in the ensuing Telangana State Women Chess Championship-2017.

In what was a deserving elevation the four youngsters qualified for the State-level event by virtue of their excellent showing in the Hyderabad District Women Chess Championship that was held in their Chikkadpally premises recently.

The prodigiously gifted Sevitha Viju was in outstanding form while making a sweep of the competition. She won four points after winning all her four rounds with relative ease.

In the final round, she defeated Swathi Mahadev, who finished second with three points. Akshara Kasula and G Vaishnavi qualified with two points apiece.
