A brilliant all-round performance by captain Aqib (86 runs and five wickets) enabled Bhavan’s School, Sainikpuri maul Genesis International School by 274 runs on their home ground in the HCA Under-16 School Cricket League on Sunday.

Opting to bat, Bhavan’s piled up an imposing 317 runs in their stipulated 50 overs. Later, they bundled out Genesis International School for a mere 43 runs. While the skipper scalped five batsmen, Pallav and Aman captured two each to complete the annihilation.
Earlier, Bhavan’s openers Kartikeyan Narayanan (70) and D Rohit (56) laid a solid foundation, which Aqib consolidated with a flurry of strokes that went all over the ground. His innings was laced with nine hits to the fence and three massive heaves over the ropes. This was Bhavan’s second consecutive win from two outings.
