A spirited effort by Gati Girls High School was the most dominant factor in the inter-school handball tournament for Under-14 and 17 boys and girls conducted by Hyderabad District School Games Federation at Lal Bahadur Stadium.
The girls were the superior all-round players that saw them triumph in both competitions on contrasting style. In the Under-14 finals, they survived some hiccups before defeating Girls High School, Picket, 7-6. In the higher age0group event, Gati School girls had fluent 4-1 win over CMR Model School.
Results: Finals: U-14: Boys: GMHS Aliya bt TSWRS, Shaikpet 15-12; Girls: Gati GHS, Picket bt GHS 7-6; U-17: Boys: Mamatha School bt TSWRS, Shaikpet 7-6; Girls: Gati GHS bt CMR Model School by 4-1 Goals.
