Sub-junior national softball from today
Top grade softball action, albeit at the sub-junior level, will be the feature of the 30th Sub-junior National Softball Championship-2017 gor boys and girls that will be held at the Government College of Physical Education (GCPE) here from September 24 to 28.
Hyderabad: Top grade softball action, albeit at the sub-junior level, will be the feature of the 30th Sub-junior National Softball Championship-2017 gor boys and girls that will be held at the Government College of Physical Education (GCPE) here from September 24 to 28.
Announcing at a press conference here on Saturday, Dr Pravin Anaokar, CEO, Softball Association of India, said that the five-day championship will be inaugurated by Sports Minister T Padma Rao Goud on Sunday. K Shobhan Babu, General Secretary of Telangana Softball Association, which is organising the event, said that 1050 players representing 25 States will vie for honours.
Prof K Ranga Rao, President of Olympic Association of Telangana State, appreciated the national and State softball bodies for the enthusiastic manner they have been promoting the sport at every level. TSA office-bearers D Abhishek Goud, G Rajendra Prasad, T Rajender and Kasi Reddy Shekar Reddy from Nalgonda were also present on the occasion.
