Telangana State kabaddi from Thursday
The city-based Navshakti Kreeda Mandal will host the 65th Senior Inter-district Kabaddi Championship for Men and Women at Kabaddi ground in Lal Bahadur Stadium here from December 7 to 9.
Hyderabad: The city-based Navshakti Kreeda Mandal will host the 65th Senior Inter-district Kabaddi Championship for Men and Women at Kabaddi ground in Lal Bahadur Stadium here from December 7 to 9.
In a first for the State, all matches in the league-cum-knockout championship will be played on synthetic mats under floodlights. Organising Secretary Mamidi Gopi along with Kasani Gyneshwar Mudhiraj, President of Telangana Kabaddi Association and K Jagadishwer Yadav from AKFI told reporters here on Monday that ten women and an equal number of men teams will vie for honours after its inauguration by Telangana State Sports Minister T Padma Rao Goud.
TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy will give away prizes on the final day. The event assumes significance because the top performing players will be selected for the State team that is to participate in the 65th Senior National Kabaddi Championship to be held here from December 31 to January 4.
