Telangana Circle will hope to successfully defend its title when the 18th All India Carrom Tournament 2018 19 begins at RTTC in Gachibowli here on Thursday
Hyderabad: Telangana Circle will hope to successfully defend its title when the 18th All India Carrom Tournament 2018-19 begins at RTTC in Gachibowli here on Thursday.
Over 100 players will be seen in action in the four-day event in which competitions will be held for men and women in both singles and doubles categories.
Players are coming over from all 12 circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Gujrat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, North East (II), Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and host Telangana.
It will be inaugurated by Rahul Bharadwaj, Executive Director, IOCL (TS & AP states) in the presence of international Syed Nisar Ahmed. Rizes will be distributed by Musharraf Faruqui, Additional Commissioner, GHMC, while World champion P Nirmala will grace the occasion.
In a befitting gesture, Amgoth Tukaram, who hoisted BSNL’s flag atop Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, was felicitated by V Sundar, ITS, Chief General Manager, Telangana Telecom Circle.
