Indian women's hockey team defeated South Africa in Youth Olympics

Buenos Aires: In the Youth Olympic Games, Indian women's hockey 5s team beat South Africa 5-2 in their final pool A match to move forward to the quarterfinals. The women concluded in the second spot in their pool with 12 points.

Indian women beat Argentina with 12 points in the second spot on Wednesday and conquered over South Africa on Thursday. India took the lead within two minutes as Mumtaz Khan scored off her first shot. South Africa tried it’s best to return into the match in the fading stages but was able to pull only a goal back in the 19th minute.
