In a short span of two days those of us who love Bollywood have become excited about two movies that will hit us in a few days. As different as chalk and cheese the two movies promise grand entertainment. One is ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ and the other is ‘Baadshaho’.

About six years ago, who could have thought that after Aamir, the most consistent and constantly improving product maker would be Akshay Kumar! So much so that today if you look at the sheer quality and consistency of his last four outings we can safely assume that his movies have turned out to be underrated gems.

The latest trailer of Akshay's ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ has become a rage already on social media. Women across India have fought for their share of privacy and dignity from feudal systems across the rural landscape. ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ touches this very topic in a bold way, which does not just stop at its unusual title.

The trailer brings back to us one of our most versatile actor who also has a great comic timing - Sudhir Pandey. The makers of this movie deserve special kudos for giving Sudhir Pandey, a role of some meat after a long time and he seems to be nailing it big time in this film.

The trailer also gives you sufficient glimpse of moments of drama, spicy dialogues and how the social system in rural India works. The trailer also quickly gives you a glimpse of how women in rural India have found humour in their plight. All in all, the movie will get its footfalls simply for the way a relevant social topic is being displayed with earthiness without becoming a preachy political message.

The second one is ‘Baadshaho’. The fact is that Ajay Devgn and Milan Lutharia tend to bring out the best in each other.

The other reason why you would want to look forward to ‘Baadshaho’ is that sure it is a work of fiction but then how many movies has Bollywood attempted, at all, on the dark days of 1975? Not many. So while this is a thriller you need to still appreciate the background on which the director and the writer based this one.

‘Baadshaho’ comes from the pen of Rajat Arora, the man behind some of the best high drama works in last decade by Bollywood like ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’ to name a few.

‘Baadshaho’ brings together Emraan Hashmi and Ajay Devgn again. The last time as I recall they had created a solid impact on screen was with ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’. Then you need to add the selection of Vidyut Jamwal, that guy with the ‘X Factor’.

If Milan Lutharia has used him well then this trio will be worth a watch on screen and ‘Baadshaho’ could turn out to be another gem in the thriller parade of Bollywood. All this anticipation is just from the first look of a poster. So we can well imagine the frenzy when the trailer of ‘Baadshaho’ hits us.

The third one is a rather a dark horse. JP Dutta, that another king of high and nationalist drama is coming back with another war movie called ‘Paltan’. JP Dutta has gone sadly out of form in recent years, maybe because he went into romance and love.

And clearly, it was not his forte. His strength was the raw violent emotions that he could bring up in simple tales of ‘Good vs Bad’. ‘Ghulami’, ‘Yateem’, and ‘Border’. It is just for the sake of these three movies that one cannot just give up on JP Dutta. ‘Paltan’ becomes another product therefore that a Bollywood buff should wait for.

For now, come August and September, looks like Akshay and Ajay are set to rule the screen, yet again.
