Hyderabad: Actor Allu Sirish as a guest faculty for a day, as part of its ‘Pega Teach for Change’ initiative. The actor conducted an English-speaking session and some fun activities to engage with students from 4 and 5 grades, at the Government Primary School, Devarakonda Basti.

Allu Sirish, one of Tollywood’s leading actors, also taught a lesson through the Conversation and Total Physical Response (TPR) approach that involves students responding to instructors’ commands, with whole-body actions, amplifying the initiative’s philosophy of holistic development. The actor also pledged his support to ‘Pega Teach for Change’ and was awed by the potential the student’s displayed.

“We are happy to have Allu Sirish support to our cause. It strengthens our vision that every child needs to have access to quality education to grow into responsible citizens of tomorrow and have great careers,” said Suman Reddy, Managing Director, Pegasystems, India. “I’m positive that this activity has inspired the kids supported under the Pega Teach for Change program to work hard and dream big and hope interested prospects will get onboard this significant journey.”

Commenting on this initiative, Chaitanya MRSK, founder, Teach for Change said, “Pega Teach for Change Volunteers are change makers advocating on behalf of every child in getting their Right to Quality Education regardless of their family's income. Today, Allu Sirish has joined this movement with us to encourage many more to volunteer with Pega Teach for Change."
