Reliance Jio's JioPhone has got an upgrade. At its 41st annual general meeting (AGM), Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of JioPhone 2. The all-new JioPhone 2 has some features that are same as the current-generation JioPhone while some are different.

• JioPhone 2 has the same 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display as the original JioPhone. The major difference is QWERTY keypad and support for horizontal viewing.
• JioPhone2's QWERTY keypad comes with a dedicated button for the voice assistant
• Runs on same KaiOS OS as the current-generation JioPhone
• Packs 512 RAM, same as the current-generation
• Packs 4GB storage, expandable up to 128GB; same as the current-generation JioPhone
• JioPhone 2 comes with support for Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube built-in.
• JioPhone2 will be available at an introductory price of Rs 2,999
• Bookings start on August 15
