KCR asks Opposition to refrain from criticizing Irrigation projects
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project at Medigadda.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project at Medigadda. Addressing the media on the occasion, KCR asked the Opposition parties to refrain from criticizing the Irrigation projects in the State and not to create controversies.
Stating that Telangana government's main aim is to meet the drinking and irrigation water needs of the people, the Chief Minister said that they are targeting 1.8 million acres for irrigation under the Kaleshwaram project, calling it a boon for the people of North Telangana.
With an outlay of Rs 84,000 crore, the Medigadda project would be taken up at full flow after meeting Maharashtra chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in this regard.
