Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha nominated candidates D Srinivas and Captain Lakshmikatha Rao on Tuesday extended thanks to TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for giving them an opportunity to represent the State in Parliament and vowed to raise Telangana voice at the Centre for rapid growth of the State. 

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha nominated candidates D Srinivas and Captain Lakshmikatha Rao on Tuesday extended thanks to TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for giving them an opportunity to represent the State in Parliament and vowed to raise Telangana voice at the Centre for rapid growth of the State.

Speaking to media persons after filing nominations on the Assembly premises here, D Srinivas said he would try his best to see that the Centre cleared the issues related to Telangana. The statehood had been achieved for jobs, resources and waters, he said, adding that they would vie for getting adequate funds for the State of Telangana.

Say they will strive for the development of Telangana

“Chandrashekar Rao has great vision to transform the State into a golden Telangana and we will take his idea forward in that direction,” he said. “The TRS government has been implementing many welfare schemes and getting support of the people,” he added. He exuded confidence that the flagship projects like Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha would be completed
on time.

“We are expecting that some 75 per cent of the works of these two prestigious projects will be completed, enabling the government to keep its promises of supplying safe drinking waters and distributing irrigation waters to crops in rural areas. Lakshmikanta Rao said the KCR government was noted for keeping promises.

Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, who was present, said D Srinivas had long political tenure and whose experience would help the TRS government get benefits from the Centre. Similarly the Captain, who played a key role in the statehood movement would serve the party at Central level for the State development, he added.
