Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commissioner (GHMC) B Janardhan Reddy on Monday announced that the civic body was taking all steps to prevent casualties because of open drains in the city.
Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commissioner (GHMC) B Janardhan Reddy on Monday announced that the civic body was taking all steps to prevent casualties because of open drains in the city.
In a media release issued by the Commissioner, he said necessary instructions were given to all the engineering and sanitary officials to attend to the manholes and road- related complaints on a priority.
He directed the staff to ensure that there are no potholes or water logging points on the roads in order to prevent accidents and other major incidents. He said the strength of the emergency and disaster management staff was also increased.
He instructed emergency and disaster management staff to work with all line departments to ensure that all roads are safe.
