Hyderabad: Private hospitals offering services under Aarogyasri scheme have given a fresh representation to the government, seeking clearance of dues. In the meantime, the Health Department officials held a meeting here on Monday on the issue of payments as well as various other processes pertaining to Aarogyasri scheme.

Office-bearers of Telangana Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes (THANA), an association of private hospitals, said the number of cases under the scheme was increasing. They said they were waiting for the government to hold talks and sort out the issue.

On June 24, the Telangana Aarogyasri Health Care Trust (TACHT) exempted all government-empanelled hospitals in the State from obtaining pre-authorisation before the start of treatment of patients.
