Hyderabad: Telangana Cinematography and Animal Husbandry minister T Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday warned the opposition leaders would be put behind the bars if they continue to stall the development works and complete the ‘controversial’ Mallannasagar reservoir.
Addressing media here, he said that opposition parties were making a hue and cry on the projects aiming to obstruct the development of Telangana under the leadership of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
“The government has already made it clear that it would offer better compensation either under GO 123 or Land Acquisition 2013 Act. Farmers have also been given freedom to avail the benefits at their choice” he said.
Reacting to sharp criticism on police excess of lathicharge and firing on the farmers and leaders of some political parties, the minister said that the incident was the result of the provocation from the Opposition.
