Prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been clamped for the last three days to prevent any untoward incident in view of the bandh call.
The police deployed heavy security and prevented taking out of rallies and meetings, following which there were arguments between the law-enforcing agency and the JAC leaders. Twenty JAC leaders were arrested for defying the ban orders. After the arrest, police restored RTC services, Gadwal DSP Balakoti said.
