Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments have been alerted by the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on the heavy rainfall forecast in the next three to four days. As per the Hyderabad MET Department, places like Warangal, Hyderabad, and isolated areas in Telangana districts are likely to witness heavy rains.

As per the Hyderabad MET Department Warangal, Hyderabad, and isolated areas in Telangana districts are likely to witness heavy rains.

The Met department also issued an alert in Guntur, Krishna, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari districts.

Even the City Police Commissioner Ranganath has advised the public and GHMC officials to be cautious in the coming days. Also, he stated that the traffic alerts/notifications at various places in Hyderabad will be issued through Facebook, WhatsApp, Mobile App, radio, TV channels, etc.

The MET Department said in a statement that the upper air cyclonic circulation over west central and northwest Bay of Bengal along with adjoining coastal areas of south Odisha, north AP is now spreading up to mid- tropospheric levels and tilting southwards with height persists.
