With continuous rains lashing out in various parts of Hyderabad early on Wednesday morning, the roads were inundated with water. Floods prevailed in places like Kukatpally, Alwal, Qutbullapur and Mallajgiri due to heavy rainfall throughout the night.

15.6 cm of rainfall was witnessed at Qutbullapur, Alwal and northern part of Kukatpally. Due to the rains, a wall collapsed at Ramki villa while the water level increased in Chikkadpally and Nallakunta Nallas on Wednesday. Ramachandrapuram experienced 30.5 mm of rainfall while Madhapur witnessed 24.75 mm and Balanagar 19.25 mm.

Many low-lying areas of the city such as Ganesh Nagar Nalla, Ayodhyanagar, Dwarkanagar, Subhash Nagar and Devendra Nagar have been submerged with rain water and commuters are facing huge traffic woes. As per the Met department's forecast, the rains are likely to continue today as well as tomorrow in west, south and northern parts of Hyderabad.
