Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will introduce the mini-AC bus service between Hyderabad and Warangal and Hyderabad and Nizamabad sectors.

The mini-AC bus service named 'Vajra' would be introduced after Diwali. The distinctive feature of the facility is that they will provide services at doorsteps of the intending passengers.

The sitting capacity of each bus will be 21. "These buses will not go to Bus stations, but pick up passengers from colonies and drop them back in colonies in the destination city," according to officials.

As many as 60 trips daily are proposed on Hyderabad-Warangal route, while there will be 36 trips daily on Hyderabad-Nizamabad route. Tickets will not be issued in buses, but will be provided only through advance reservation facility, which would be available on www.tsrtconline.in.

Apart from various passenger amenities, these buses would be fitted with a mobile device with GPS and passengers can track the movement of buses through a mobile App, (which also be launched soon) and know the exact time of arrival at boarding point, the release added.

The TSRTC will run 30 min-buses to Warangal from Hyderabad. Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy and TSRTC Chairman S Satyanarayana, who inspected the new mini buses at Bus Bhavan here on Friday, said the mini buses would be introduced between Hyderabad and Warangal.

Passengers travelling from Hyderabad to Warangal would be picked up from 100 important points in Hyderabad and in return direction from 46 points in Warangal.

Passengers will be provided with drinking water bottles, mobile charging point at every passenger’s seat. Passengers can book tickets even half an hour before the journey time. All the buses are fitted with GPS technology, which would help in tracking the movement of the buses.

The corporation would also soon start a mobile application called ‘RTC Wallet’ for booking tickets.

The four routes in Hyderabad to Warangal are-

Route-1: Saroornagar to Warangal via Nagole Cross Roads, Uppal Cross Roads
Route-2: Mehdipatnam to Warangal via Himayatnagar, RTC Cross Roads
Route-3: KPHB to Warangal via Balanagar, Secunderabad and Tarnaka
Route-4: A S Rao Nagar to Warangal via ECIL Cross Roads, Habshiguda

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) would run 18 mini AC buses from state capital to Nizamabad city after Diwali.

These buses will pick up the passengers from 50 important points in Hyderabad and 39 select points in Nizamabad.

The three routes in Hyderabad to Nizamabad are:
Route-1: L B Nagar to Nizamabad via Kothapet, Nagole Cross Roads, Bowenpally PS
Route-2: KPHB to Nizamabad via Balanagar, Bowenpally PS
Route-3: Mehdipatnam to Nizamabad via S R Nagar, Balanagar, Bowenpally PS.
