Hyderabad: Tribal Welfare Minister Ajmeera Chandulal has lambasted the CPM for its rhetoric against the State government. Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Chandulal took serious exception to the baseless allegations of the CPM leaders against the government schemes during ‘Mahajana Padayatra’ and said that the CPM leaders were indulging in criticising the government for political mileage.

He ridiculed the Left party for its continuous protest programme and carrying out misinformation campaign. While the people were happy with the ruling party for implementing various welfare schemes, the CPM leaders were making futile efforts to target it, he felt and suggested that the CPM should refrain from misguiding the people.

“Since the beginning, the CPM leadership is against the Statehood and is now coming in the way of the development of the youngest State,” he deplored. The CPM, he alleged, was envious of development and was showing its bad face by making false allegations against the government, he added.

The Minister said the CPM was an opportunistic party and had no ethics and would have a truck with any other party for its survival.

It was only the TRS party that kept its promises and was implementing welfare schemes and completed a survey to accord Village Panchayat status to major tribal hamlets, Chandulal said.

He also said that the government took up decentralisation of powers through new districts for speedy delivery of services and implemented schemes.
