Hyderabad: The Cabinet Sub Committee that was constituted to go into the implications of the verdict given by the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal on Krishna waters, headed by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, met here on Saturday to discuss the stand the government needs to take on the issue.

The Brijesh Kumar Tribunal on sharing of Krishna waters (Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal-II) has made it clear that it would not take a relook into the allocation of waters among the riparian States afresh but would take up distribution of water allocation to Telangana and AP States, out of the share of the combined AP allocation.

It has asked TS and AP to come before it on December 14 with their claims. The committee discussed the various options available to it, including challenging the verdict in the court. A decision would be taken at the next meeting scheduled to be held on October 29.
