Sadhanapalli Anand Kumar of Kaliveru village in Charla mandal along with Malavath Poorna of Tadvai village in Nizamabad district scaled the Mt Everest in May, 2014 bringing laurels to the Agency areas in both the districts.

After Sadhanapalli Anand Kumar and Malavath Poorna scaled the highest peak in the world, many youth from the Agency areas are evincing keen interest in mountaineering

Kothagudem: Three youths from the Bhadradri Agency area conquered Mt Everest while two others from the same area reached the heights of Mt Renock in the last three years bringing laurels to the Agency area.

Sadhanapalli Anand Kumar of Kaliveru village in Charla mandal along with Malavath Poorna of Tadvai village in Nizamabad district scaled the Mt Everest in May, 2014 bringing laurels to the Agency areas in both the districts.

Again in 2015, Turram Sukhipriya, student of Bhadrachalam Gurukul School and Eesam Tejasvi of Sudimella Gurukul School conquered the Mt Renock.

Gurukul School Society of Social Welfare department Secretary RS Praveen Kumar supported the enthusiastic youth from the agency area and gave them proper training to realise their dreams

Again on May 20, 2016, Dubi Bhadraiah of Chinturu village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, scaled the Mt Everest. Recently Irpa Rambabu of Kurnapalli village in Charla mandal reached the peak of Mt Renock bringing laurels to the district.

Following these achievers, a number of youths from the Agency area are evincing keen interest in mountaineering. Arjuna Awardee Sekhar Babu, who scaled Mt Everest in 2007, quit the job in the Tourism department and started giving training to the mountaineers.

He set up a training institute at Bhuvanagiri for extending training to the interested candidates atop the Bhuvanagiri hills. RS Praveen Kumar has been sending the interested youths from the Social Welfare and Girijan Gurukul schools to the institute of Sekhar Babu to get trained in mountaineering.

Sekhar Babu told The Hans India that he has been imparting training to 500 persons every year in mountaineering. Students from the two Telugu States and also from foreign countries were attending the training course here, he added.

Dubi Bhadraiah said after learning about Anand and Poorna, he too wanted to scale the Mt Everest. The training given by Sekhar Babu helped them a lot, said Bhadraiah and Anand.They said if the government encourages more and more youth would strive to trek Mt Everest.
