KITS-Warangal student bags two TCS awards
Chitteti Saisree Reddy, B Tech (IT) student of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal, has bagged two awards presented by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

She won ‘TCS Best Student Award’ and ‘TCS Best Student Project Award’ for the academic year 2015-16, informed the institute director Y Manohar.
The TCS vice-president and regional head Hyderabad, V Rajanna presented the awards to the student at a recently held programme at TCS Synergy Park Campus in the state capital.
The award comprises a gold medal, a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 10,000. The project team consists of N Sai Kumar, P Sowjanya, V Karthik, and G Dharani Reddy for the project entitled “Android Application for Student Management System”, said the College Principal Prof P Venkateshwara Rao.
According to Rajanna, TCS Best Student and TCS Best Student Project Awards are two of the many initiatives from TCS to encourage the students to focus on academics and projects through healthy competition.
These awards are presented to the best student and best project nominated by the college from each of the colleges with which TCS has signed MoU. These awards aim to promote creativity, technical knowledge and socially useful projects, he added.
According to dean (training and placement) Prof Y Purandar and placement officer D Harikrishna several other companies are expressing their willingness to conduct campus recruitment at the KITSW and more students are expected to be placed in the coming days in the core and software fields.
The institute secretary and correspondent V Lakshmikantha Rao, its treasurer P Narayana Reddy, IT department head Prof Kamakshi, the faculty and staff congratulated and wished Saisree Reddy for winnin the awards.
The award winning student has been selected as software engineer in a recent campus placement drive at the institute by the TCS.
