Hyderabad: It is three months since the TSRTC had taken delivery of over 80 new buses, which include Luxury, A/C and Vajra buses.

These buses have been lying unused and exposed to the vagaries of weather in the open ground at Musheerabad-3 depot near Bus Bhavan as Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao could not find time to launch them.

The buses were purchased as part of the plans of TSRTC to provide connectivity to all Assembly constituencies with the state capital.

Sources said that these buses were ready to take off as even the fitness certificate has been issued by the authorities. The officials told The Hans India that apart from the 80 new buses, another 15 mini buses (Vajra) are likely to arrive in the next few days.

The inauguration by the Chief Minister was scheduled in December but it was postponed as the CM was busy with Assembly session and other meetings.

Now efforts are being made to launch these buses at least during the second half of January as the Assembly session is likely to end by January 11.
