Hyderabad: The High Court at Hyderabad has directed the Returning Officer for elections to the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) to include the name of Vanka Pratap in the ballot paper along with other candidates.

Justice U Durga Prasada Rao gave this order on Monday while hearing a House Motion moved by Vanka Pratap against the deletion of his name from the ballot for the Joint Secretary post. The Returning Officer had deleted his name on the ground that he filed nomination for more than one post.

Hearing this matter at his residence, Justice Durga Prasada Rao directed the Returning Officer to include Vanka Pratap’s name in the ballot for Joint Secretary post.

Dealing with another House Motion petition moved by the former treasurer of HCA, Naresh Sharma seeking stay of elections to HCA that are scheduled to be held on January 17, Justice U Durga Prasada Rao declined the prayer reiterating the earlier order of the single judge directing that the results must not be declared until the Court hears the matter further on January 18.
