Speaking at the inaugural function of Swarna Bharat Trust here on Monday, he exhorted the students to highlight the greatness of the country. Parrikar said that the schemes like Start up India, Skill India, Stand Up India were meant for youth of India.

They need employment and there is no shortage of opportunity. There is also no shortage of unemployed youth. What is required is the need to provide them with necessary skills, he said.

The Minister said that he was surprised when the girls got up and said Vandemataram at the venue. There should be a feeling of oneness. If something goes wrong even in Kashmir one should feel hurt and if something good happens, one should feel elated. “We need to develop to that level and that would be possible when nationalism is taught from school level,” he said.

Inaugurating the Hyderabad Chapter of the Trust, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said the government would extend all help to the trust. The Chief Minister lauded the slogan of ‘Back to village’ and urged the representatives to take necessary steps to bring back the past glory of the villages.

Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that the Swarna Bharat Trust does not take any government grant and does not take money directly from individuals. Venkaiah Naidu appealed individuals to take the Trust as a platform to remove poverty.

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said that there were 4.75 crore unemployed youth who were enrolled in the employment exchanges and another crore would be joining after completion of their studies every year.

In such a situation, trust becomes very important. MP K Keshav Rao, B Vinod Kumar, C Malla Reddy, K Vishweshwar Reddy, Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, AP Minister Kamineni Srinivas and other trust members were also present.
