Speed up land acquisition works for constructing canals: Sircilla Collector

District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar chaired a review meeting with Special Deputy Collector and officials of irrigation and forest departments in his chamber at the Collectorate here on Wednesday.

He said that under package 9, out of 1,658.09 acres of land nearly 1,538.28 acres had been acquired till date and the acquisition of remaining 109.20 acres of land must be completed.
Under package 10, out of 2,370.39 acres of land about 1,600.9 acres had been acquired with 770.30 acres of land remaining, which should be completed very soon.
The Collector directed the officials to release compensation immediately to the owners, who lost their land or building under canal works along with completing the registrations works.
Joint Collector Yasmine Basha said that there are enough funds for providing compensation to those who lost their lands under canal works. They were also told to complete issuing of compensation by January 30.
Irrigation department Chief Engineer Hariram, District Forest Officer Prakash, Executive Engineers and Deputy EEs were present along with others.
