Visakhapatnam: A large number of devotees participated in the anniversary celebrations of Sri Visakha Sarada Peetham , which began here on Friday and would last till February 7.
Visakhapatnam: A large number of devotees participated in the anniversary celebrations of Sri Visakha Sarada Peetham , which began here on Friday and would last till February 7.
The celebrations have been graced by the presence of many prominent personalities including, Telangana Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, Andhra Pradesh State Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad, Telugu Desam Party president (AP) K Kala Venkata Rao and industrialists along with their families.
The event in which Chaturveda Sahitha Yagam, Sri Vanadurga Maha Yagnam and special Homams were being performed at Chinamushidivada near Pendurti was conducted by Rutvics.
The event began with Ganapathi puja, Punyahavachanam, Panchagavya Prasana and Agni Madhanam under the supervision of Peethadhipathi Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Maha Swami.
The VVIPs offered special prayers to the Goddess Sarada and took the blessings from the Seer. Special Homams and Yagams were conducted by Vedic Pandits and Rutvics, who came from various parts of the country.
During the Anugraha Bhashanam, the Seer informed the public that Yagams were being conducted for the wellbeing of the entire mankind and he advised devotees to show compassion towards fellow beings and animals.
